ISLAMABAD Because of the ongoing tension between Israel and Iran, the United States is increasing its military presence in the Middle East with everything from nuclear-powered aircraft carriers to navy warships.
The Pentagon ordered two destroyer warships to approach Israel in the Mediterranean last week. According to reports, the USS Sullivans Destroyer and the USS Thomas Hudner Destroyer have also arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean this week for ongoing defense operations, and the Arleigh Burke destroyer has left the region, a US official said.
The United States moved twelve F-16 fighter jets to Prince Sultan in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday from a base in Italy. Furthermore, the United States has been moving fighter jet installations in the Middle East, including F-35s and F-22 Raptors.
