On Friday, the Senate of Pakistan, chaired by Deputy Chairman Sardar Syedal Khan, resumed to consider the Finance Bill 2025 while also discussing other legislative issues.
A number of motions extending the deadline for reports on legislative and constitutional bills to be submitted by various standing committees were also adopted by the Upper House.
On behalf of Senator Farooq Hamid Naek, the chairman of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice, Senator Shahadat Awan made motions to extend the review period for five important laws by sixty days. These comprised:
