Long before the announcement, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom had already called it quits on their engagement.
The singer, who is now on tour in Australia, informed her friends in January that her relationship with Orlando was finished, according to insiders who spoke to The Sun recently.
According to the insider, “Katy told friends at the beginning of the year that their relationship was pretty much over.”
“They are desperate to stay together for the sake of their daughter, so they decided to hold off on announcing anything in case things improved between them,” they continued.
“But with Katy on tour and Orlando in Dublin working on his next movie, Bucking Fastard,” the source said, “they have hardly spent any time together this year.”
