Despite being a National Football League (NFL) great, quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs isn’t shredded from head to toe—a misconception shared by many of his NFL counterparts.
In his locker room, Mahomes spoke passionately about his lack of care for his appearance following the Kansas City Chiefs’ second consecutive and fourth in five seasons victory over the other team in the American Football Conference (AFC).
Though he accepted everything in stride, screen grabs that appeared to show him with a dad-bod as opposed to six-pack abs went viral.
Using laughing emojis, Mahomes said, “Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBozSZN,” on X, the previous Twitter platform.
In a subsequent post, he said, “Like i got kids!!!!”.
ESPN analyst Matt Miller wrote that Mahomes and Jason Kelce, who became a meme thanks to his shirtless celebration at the Chiefs’ game against the Buffalo Bills, are “doing more for dad bods than anyone in history” and “Doing the lord’s work.”
