At an Anti-Polio Task Force meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave the go-ahead for authorities to step up their efforts to eradicate the debilitating illness from the nation.
He reaffirmed the government’s steadfast resolve to eradicate polio entirely from Pakistan in spite of several obstacles and hurdles.
In his speech, the prime minister reiterated his commitment to shielding all children from this harmful illness. He underlined that in order to achieve long-lasting protection, it is imperative that each child receive several doses of the polio vaccine.
Pakistan has achieved great strides in the war against polio, PM Shehbaz said.
