ISLAMABAD On Sunday, Pakistan and Iran reaffirmed their determination to deepen their bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.
The decision was made at a meeting between Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
Both parties emphasized throughout the discussion how important it is to strengthen bilateral ties in a variety of sectors that will benefit both parties.
“Pakistan and Iran have fraternal relations based on shared religion, culture, and mutual respect,” President Zardari stated as he welcomed President Pezeshkian. The two presidents discussed important regional and global events and emphasized the necessity of concerted diplomatic efforts to keep conflicts from getting worse and to advance regional peace, security, and stability.
