In July, Pakistan’s trade deficit was close to $2.75 billion, a significant increase over the preceding months.
Pakistan’s trade imbalance grew by 16 percent each month and 44 percent per year, according to figures made public by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Exports increased in July 2025, while imports surged more quickly. During the same time period, Pakistan imported $5.45 billion worth of products and exported $2.7 billion worth.
In comparison to earlier months, the trade gap significantly widened in July, reaching around $2.75 billion. Economists cautioned that the rupee might be further pressured by persistently high import levels.
