KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed on Thursday that right-handed batter Haider Ali has been placed on temporary suspension after Greater Manchester Police conducted a criminal inquiry.
The PCB claims that the incident under inquiry happened during the Pakistan Shaheens’ most recent tour of England.
The PCB stated that, in line with its duty of care, it has ensured that Ali has access to appropriate legal support to safeguard his rights throughout the investigation.
The PCB emphasized its adherence to UK legal procedures and stated that it will not interfere with the process’s completion.
The temporary suspension is effective immediately and will last until the investigation’s conclusion.
