ISLAMABAD: As part of the quarterly tariff adjustment for the April–June 2025 period, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has authorized a cut in power costs of Rs1.89 per unit.
On Thursday, the power regulating body said that it had sent its ruling to the federal government for official notification.
Following notification, all electricity distribution companies (Discos), including K-Electric customers, would be subject to the updated pricing.
According to a notification, the change will appear in the August invoices.
The three-month price reduction, which will take effect from August to October 2025, is anticipated to save power users nationwide a total of Rs55.8 billion.
