Pakistan Railways (PR) hiked rates for all passenger trains on Friday, issuing a notification of a 2% rise.
It will go into effect tomorrow (Saturday) for passenger trains as well as private-sector trains.
According to railway sources, rates have increased as a result of the recent increase in diesel costs.
