Given that Rogan was disseminating false information about vaccines, Young demanded in 2022 that the streaming behemoth take down popular songs like Harvest Moon and Heart of Gold.
The singer insisted that his comeback did not signal a change in his opinions.
Rather, the decision was made after Rogan agreed to accept a $250 million contract to stop being a Spotify exclusive and release his program on other platforms.
“Other music services [including] Apple, Amazon, Qobuz, Tidal… have started serving the same disinformation podcast I had opposed at Spotify,” Young stated on his website.
