Justin Timberlake has just released his new album Everything I Thought It Was, the follow-up to his 2018 record Man of the Woods.
The latest album has 18 tracks with guest appearances from Fireboy DML for Liar, Tobe Nwigwe for Sanctified, and a widely anticipated NSYNC reunion for Paradise.
Taking to his Instagram page, the Sexy Back singer stated, “This album is a culmination of where I’ve been and where I’m going – and I’m so grateful and nervous and excited to put it out into the world for you all.”
Expressing thanks he added, “Thank you for the love, it truly means so much to me”.
Justin Timberlake, a 10-time Grammy and four-time Emmy winner, took a hiatus following his last record to spend time with his family. However, he changed his mind during the 2020 pandemic.
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he mentioned working on this album for ‘four years’ and explained, “With other albums, I would just go in for a block of time and say, ‘This is what we made and this is what it is'”.
“But during the pandemic, I was going back and forth and ended up with like almost 100 songs” , further explaining, “I narrowed it down to 18.”
