It happens before a brand-new Netflix film that tells the tale of the Duke of York’s controversial Newsnight interview premieres in November 2019.
Sewell, playing the duke, is seen sitting down with co-star Gillian Anderson, who plays journalist Emily Maitlis, in the teaser for the upcoming movie Scoop.
In a different scene, Billie Piper, who plays Newsnight producer Sam McAlister, addresses Sewell’s Andrew as “Randy Andy” during a conversation.
The movie, which is based on McAlister’s book Scoops, follows Andrew from his “high stakes negotiations with Buckingham Palace” to his news interview.
The monarch participated in real life amidst harsh criticism regarding his association with financier and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
