Kate Middleton “could” sue the individual who reportedly illegally accessed her medical records, according to an expert.
Attorney and legal expert Neama Rahmani gave insights into what can happen to the culprit if they are identified. She stated that the Princess of Wales “can always file” a case for “invasion of privacy.”
He informed the news outlet, “Kate can always file a civil lawsuit for invasion of privacy,” saying, “If she wants to go after the perpetrator to say that her privacy rights were violated, she can absolutely do so.”
Rahmani, who is not involved in the ongoing inquiry, went on to say that it would be “easy to catch” the perpetrator, while also divulging what the future holds for them once caught.”It’s quite evident right now anytime you access a file or a site, who’s doing so,” the expert said, adding, “It’s only a question of, did the culprit merely try to access the data or was he or she able to see it? In any case, that would be a significant offense.”
