In light of the state of law and order in the district, the local government has enforced Section 144 as the six-party opposition alliance, led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), gets ready to convene for a political demonstration in Pishin today.
The district deputy commissioner sent out a notification on Friday prohibiting gatherings of more than five individuals in the Pishin and enforcing Section 144 about the shutdown of major routes.
In the exercise of the authority granted by Sub-Section (6) of Section 144 Cr.P.C. 1898, the Government of Balochistan Home & Tribal Affairs Department has prohibited blockades of national and main highways, roads, red zones, processions, rallies, and gatherings of five (05) or more people, as well as sit-ins, throughout the Province of Balochistan.The department of home and tribal affairs of the provincial government issued the guidelines.
