In the Sunday final, the 17-year-old defeated fellow Englishman Joe Cullen 8-4 to win his second title on the European Tour.
Littler, who was given the winner’s green jacket on stage after winning, stated, “I’m just happy to get over the line again.”
“This weekend has been good, my darts have been good and the crowd really helped me.”
The 34-year-old Cullen was not happy with his performance versus Littler, the World Championship runner-up.
“I was really terrible. Cullen remarked, “He just played better than me.”
“While I’m disappointed in my performance, Luke deserves congratulations.
Ittler breezed through the competition, winning 7-2 over Ross Smith in the semifinals. Ittler’s only victory on the European Tour came in the Belgium Open in March.
