Abu Dhabi: During his visit to the Gulf state, US President Donald Trump announced more than $200 billion in partnerships with the United Arab Emirates, including significant agreements in the fields of technology, aviation, energy, and artificial intelligence.
The White House reported that Trump announced agreements following his meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, including an agreement by Etihad Airways to spend $14.5 billion on 28 Boeing 787 and 777x aircraft with GE Aerospace engines.
The two nations will also create a framework for a US–UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, according to the US Commerce Department. The opening of a new 5GW AI complex, the biggest outside of the US, was visited by Trump and Sheikh Mohamed.
