In Sunday morning’s Moroccan waters in the Strait of Gibraltar, a number of orcas struck a sailing yacht, causing it to capsize and sink. This incident is the most recent in a series of attacks that have terrified mariners in the area for the previous four years.
The most recent incident occurred at approximately nine in the morning, according to local outlet El Pais, which cites Spain’s maritime rescue service. About fourteen miles from Cape Spartel, crew members of the fifty-foot-long Alboran Cognac reported to rescue services that the apex predators had damaged their ship.
