The creator of the video game, Instagram’s parent company Meta, and the maker of the rifle used in the crime are being sued by the families of the victims of the Uvalde school shooting.
They allege in two additional cases that the businesses assisted in the promotion of lethal weapons to a group of young men who were deemed to be “socially vulnerable,” among them the 18-year-old gunman.
The Robb Elementary School attack claimed the lives of two instructors and nineteen students.
The Texas school shooting’s second anniversary fell on Friday.
Activision, the creator of the military video game franchise “Call of Duty,” Daniel Defense, a gun manufacturer well-known for its high-end guns, and Meta are the targets of the two cases, which were filed in Texas and California.
The corporations are charged with being in charge of “grooming” a generation.
