The brand will become the team’s new shirt sponsor as well as their “exclusive energy drink partner” as part of the multi-year agreement.
Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium will also have a prominent display of the company’s branding.
Due to its past transactions with football teams, Red Bull has been in the news. In Austria, for example, FC Red Bull Salzburg changed its name, emblem, and stadium name after the firm bought it in 2005.
Leeds United, meanwhile, declared that its “name and logo will remain unchanged” in a club statement.
The amount of the company’s investment and other specifics of the agreement have not been made public.
The decision was made in response to the team’s recent inability to advance to the Premier League, albeit with one of the most costly squads in the Championship division’s second tier.
After losing to Southampton FC 1-0 in the play-off final last weekend, the team advanced automatically to the next round by defeating Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
“I am thrilled that Red Bull is joining us to build a bright future for Leeds United and shares our deep respect for this truly special club,” Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe stated.
“Red Bull’s addition is a historic milestone that will further empower the club to reach its full competitive potential.”
