Following the attacks during the night, some landline and mobile services were impacted, according to a post made by Marina Ferrari, junior minister for digital matters, on social networking site X.
“I condemn in the strongest terms these cowardly and irresponsible acts,” she stated in her letter.

“Thank you to the teams mobilised this morning to carry out repairs and restore damaged sites to service.”

According to allegations in French media on Monday, SFR, Bouygues Telecom, and Free’s telecom installations had been vandalized, primarily disrupting fixed-line services.

According to reports in the daily Le Parisien and on TV, wires in southern French electrical cabinets had been severed, as had installations in them.

The majority of individuals impacted, according to France’s telecom watchdog ARCEP, utilized the SFR or Free networks.

At least six administrative departments in France were reportedly impacted, including the area surrounding Marseille, an Olympic sailing and football venue located in the Mediterranean. This information was provided by a police official.

It follows rumors that a far-left activist was detained in relation to several assaults on the nation’s high-speed rail system, which disrupted travel in the lead-up to the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
