PESHAWAR: Following the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) denial of the Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur-led administration’s plea to investigate the events of last year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has opted to return the matter of the May 9 riots investigation to the provincial cabinet.
Consultations with KP Chief Minister Gandapur were undertaken subsequent to the PHC’s reply. and the decision has been made to return the subject to the provincial cabinet,” KP Advocate General Shah Faisal Uthmankhel stated in a Saturday interview with News.
