At a news conference on Thursday, U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Martin Estrada, revealed that five defendants—two of whom were doctors—had been taken into custody and were facing several counts in relation to Perry’s murder.
Defendant Kenny Iwamasa, Perry’s live-in aide, is accused of learning how to inject ketamine from co-defendant Dr. Salvador Plasencia. Plasencia allegedly gave Iwamasa vials of the dissociative anesthetic medication so that Iwamasa could inject Perry at his Pacific Palisades residence. “The Ketamine Queen,” alias Jasveen Sangha, her accomplice, Dr. Mark Chavez, and intermediary Eric Fleming are said to have obtained the substance.
Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani, who serves as president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told News Perry he paid “the ultimate price” because he was exploited because of his popularity.
They frequently have these entourages that resemble leeches, according to Rahmani. They are extremely wealthy, and some individuals simply prey on them, taking advantage of their wealth and taking advantage of them.
“This person has an obvious and well-established opiate addiction. He is open about his use of medication to help him overcome his addiction. Additionally, some individuals are taking advantage of his addiction by charging him tens of thousands of dollars for ketamine. It’s quite depressing.
