ISLAMABAD: Anticipating that severe weather conditions would remain until August 19, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued an advisory on Saturday for possible heavy rainfall and flash flooding in various parts of the nation.
The NDMA predicted extensive thunderstorm rain across Sindh, South Punjab, and Balochistan in its advisory, which might potentially result in flash floods.
It said, “Weather-related thunderstorms with widespread moderate to intense rainfall are expected over Sindh along the DG Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Zhob, Loralai, Nasirabad, Sibbi, Kalat, and Makran Divisions. There may also be isolated extremely heavy falls.”
Additionally, the authority stated that the Nullahs of Sibbi, Nasirabad, Zhob, Kalat Larkana, and the hill torrents of DG Khan division are predicted to see medium to high degree flash floods.
