Spartak Arutyunyan, who oversees menu creation for Dodo Pizza’s location in Dubai, says, “We asked [well-known AI chatbot] ChatGPT to create a recipe – the best pizza for Dubai.”
And a recipe was produced. It was a big hit when we first introduced it, and it is still available.
Mr. Arutyunyan remarks, “There’s so many cultures here,” given that ninety percent of Dubai’s three million residents are foreigners. “Indians, Pakistanis, Filipinos, Arab people, European guys.”
He requested that ChatGPT create a pizza that reflected that blend of cultures. In response, it created a topping made of Indian grilled chicken and Arab shawarma chicken.
And it seems like Dodo Pizza’s patrons can’t get enough of it. “Even though, as a chef, I would never combine these ingredients on a pizza, the flavor combination was surprisingly excellent,” Mr. Arutyunyan says.
Nevertheless, a few pizza combos developed by AI—such as breakfast cereal and pasta with strawberries—were left off the menu.
