Barrister Gohar, the leader of the PTI, has unequivocally denied having talks with the Speaker of the National Assembly or intending to do so.
In response to recent rumors, Barrister Gohar made it clear that although the Speaker and PTI meet frequently, their discussions are entirely restricted to parliamentary and Assembly matters.
Barrister Gohar said, “As an opposition party, our interactions with the Speaker of the National Assembly are focused on the conduct of Assembly business and the opposition’s parliamentary concerns.” He made it clear that neither the PTI nor negotiations with the Speaker had ever been considered in relation to talks with the government.
