In an intense argument that took place during a Monday National Assembly session, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of requesting a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
Minister Asif asserted that PTI leaders are putting pressure on the establishment to provide assistance, and that Raoof Hasan, a party member, is allegedly pushing for an NRO.
Asif bemoaned the party’s unwillingness to hold talks with its rivals and poked fun at PTI for supposedly looking for concessions.
He suggested that the PTI’s demands are unreasonable by asking if other politicians like Mehmood Achakzai will engage in military talks.
