District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett of California decided on Monday that Salvador Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha will have a joint trial on March 4 of the following year. On February 19, there will also be a pre-trial hearing.
The Friends actor, 54, passed away on October 28 from the “acute effects of ketamine,” and the two are among the five persons who have been charged in connection with her death.
Perry was receiving therapy for anxiety and sadness at the time of his intravenous ketamine addiction.
According to court records, he was taking the medication six to eight times a day before he passed away.
Plasencia, a Santa Monica-based physician, is accused of using actor Perry’s live-in helper Kenneth Iwamasa to supply the actor with ketamine between September and October of last year for a minimum of $55,000 (£42,500).
Perry allegedly purchased the substance from Sangha, dubbed “the Ketamine Queen” by cops, for $11,000 (£8,553) in cash.
She would allegedly sell the medication to Perry’s acquaintance and fellow defendant Eric Fleming, who would then reportedly sell it to his assistant.
