According to Pat Ryder, the US does not want to see further escalation in the region but is ready for possible Houthi response.
The US and UK attacked “military targets inside Houthi-controlled territory in Yemen that included missile storage facilities, UAV storage facilities, and coastal radar—all targets intended to degrade and destroy their ability to conduct these kinds of reckless attacks in the future,” according to Ryder.
“At this point, we haven’t seen any retaliation from the Houthis; we’ll continue to keep a close eye on it and be ready to act accordingly,” he stated.
Ryder continued by saying he has no updates on additional US troop deployments in the area.
