The news announced the new measures in July, and one of them is assigning chaperones to every rehearsal going forward.
Pop diva of the 1980s Toyah Willcox claimed that the Strictly crew had “done absolutely everything” to ensure that they had a positive experience with the series.
“We have people with us all the time,” she said to reporters during the press conference for Strictly. “We have an openness that we can talk immediately if we have any concerns.”
Hitmaker Willcox (I Want to Be Free, among others) continued, saying, “I can’t bear the thought of anyone suffering anything, but we’ve all come into this knowing what’s expected of us, and it is 100% commitment.”
Tasha Ghouri, a former contestant on Love Island, concurred, adding it was “about moving forward”.
“Really, it’s about our own experiences,” she continued.
