Monday saw yet another significant drop in gold prices in Pakistan, with the pricing per tola falling by Rs1,100 to close at Rs260,400.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reports that the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs943, to Rs223,251.
There was a decline in the worldwide gold market as well. According to the APGJSA, the price of gold dropped $7 throughout the trading day to $2,490 per ounce internationally.
After a lengthy period, the price of silver in the local market also decreased, falling by Rs50 to Rs2,850 a tola.
The characteristics of the global market continue to have an impact on the local market’s shifting gold prices.
