Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and a team from the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), led by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, met to talk about the proposed constitutional amendment.
The high-level gathering, which included discussions on the amendment, was held at the Prime Minister’s residence and covered important political issues.
Senior party officials Khursheed Shah, Naveed Qamar, and Murtaza Wahab were among the PPP delegation members. Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar were also present on behalf of the government.
Both sides talked about how to get more political support for the proposed amendment at the discussion, especially how to get Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), on board with the amendments.
