NEW YORK: Today marks the start of the yearly meeting of world leaders with the opening session of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is attending.
He is accompanied by Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN Munir Akram, Minister of Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
According to Radio Pakistan, he will be present at the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ reception for heads of state, where the prime minister would hold informal contacts with leaders of other nations.
