“When do you ever see a chicken sandwich with the entire leg attached to it?” Instagram celebrity Jack Goldburg (@jacksdiningroom) posed this question to his 1.2 million followers after stopping by Birdbox, a sandwich business that serves takeout located near Times Square and encircled by the Theater District of New York City.
“It’s like this hidden little sandwich shop run by a two-Michelin-star chef who’s doing some crazy s—,” he added.

In July, Birdbox opened. Chef Chris Bleidorn and partner Aarti Shetty, who run the Michelin-starred Birdsong restaurant in San Francisco, are in charge of it.
Their hallmark dish at this popular East Coast fried chicken restaurant is Claude the Claw. This sandwich is so good that you could find a complete chicken quarter (thigh and drumstick) in any meat department of your local store.
It seems that Claude the Claw passed both the taste and the vision tests. Judging by postings, comments, and more, visitors are coming to the Big Apple from all around to wait in line to chomp into a Broadway bird.
