David Beckham’s business, DB Ventures, gave an unidentified individual a sizable payoff.
The 48-year-old football icon, who owns a real estate company, is accused of giving a mystery employee a whopping $10 million salary in 2022.
The Mirror claims that DB Ventures’ account shows that the money was paid to the highest-paid director; however, the business has declined to clarify whether the money was given to the legendary Manchester United player or to another individual.
The individuals who might have gotten the money include David, Nick Woodhouse, or Jamie Salter.
“I’m afraid we won’t be disclosing who the highest-paid director is,” a David spokeswoman told the newspaper.
The compensation, which is allegedly 384%, is five times greater than the total salary of the other 23 DB Ventures employees put together.
DB Ventures is a division of DRJB Holdings Limited, David’s full-service international brand management company, whose profitable turnover more than doubled to £72 million in 2022.
But in the same year, David supposedly sold Authentic Brands a 55% share of the company for £200 million.
Seven Global, an additional company of David Beckham that is not affiliated with DB Ventures, generated a profit of £8.4 million by means of collaborations with Adidas, Tudor, and Safilo.
