In one of the cases brought against him in relation to harassing and attempting to abduct social media personality Samiya Hijab, a district and sessions court in Islamabad on Wednesday granted bail to defendant Hassan Zahid.
Zahid’s bail request against Rs20,000 in surety bonds was granted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Aamir Zia.
However, in another case filed at Shalimar Police Station, the defendant is still on physical remand for five days.
Zahid is accused of “harassment, assault, abduction, and threats to life” in two cases related to the allegation of influencer Samiya, who is headquartered in Islamabad.
