From September 6 to 9, monsoon rains are predicted to affect the majority of Punjab’s districts, with heavy rainfall in the upper regions increasing the likelihood of local rivers flooding.
The expected rains and water input from India have caused an increase in river water flow, according to the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
Statistics on water flow
The water flow is currently 115,000 cusecs at the Chenab River’s Marala point, 205,000 cusecs at Khanqah, and 266,000 cusecs at Qadirabad. At Head Trimmu, the flow reaches 331,000 cusecs.
