In the September 22 premiere of the new Hulu documentary series Into the Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal, Ozzy Osbourne paid tribute to his late friend and bandmate Randy Rhoads.
Osbourne considers the musician, who passed away in a plane crash in 1982 at the age of 25, in People’s exclusive first look at the clip.
“He was the first guy that came into my life and gave me hope,” the Black Sabbath leader remarked in archive video.
“Randy was a gift from God,” Sharon Osbourne went on. He made Ozzy his best self.
In addition, the eight-part series delves into some of the most important—and frequently tragic—stories in the history of heavy metal.
