The US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, was placed on lockdown Thursday after security concerns were reported, but military officers and local law enforcement did not identify any shooting threats, according to a US Navy official.
Activity for Naval Support At 5:07 PM ET (2107 GMT), local law enforcement and Annapolis security responded to reports of suspicious behavior on the Naval Academy campus.
“While Naval Security Forces were clearing a building, one person was injured,” the official said in a statement, adding that the victim had been medevacked and was in stable condition. “There is no active shooter threat,” the official said.
