ISLAMABAD: In response to an order prohibiting Justice Tariq Mahmood Jehangiri from carrying out his judicial duties, five justices from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) have petitioned the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan.
According to The News, the five justices of the IHC were Justice Ejaz Ishaq Khan, Justice Babar Sattar, Justice Saman Rifat, Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani.
Together, they entered the Supreme Court through the main entrance, which is often used by regular people. Before filing individual petitions, they each underwent biometric identification.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani told reporters outside the court that the judges were unable to file a combined plea due to rules.
