KARACHI: Due to significant charges of misbehavior, Inspector General (IG) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has ordered an investigation into four deputy superintendents of police (DSPs).
Tanveer Alam Odho, a Deputy Inspector General (DIG), has been designated as the inquiry officer.
Aurangzeb Khattak (Sohrab Goth), Asif Munir (Kalakot), Shabbir Ahmed (Kharadar), and Zafar Iqbal (Eidgah) are the DSPs against whom the investigation has been directed.
The cops are accused of extortion from tea stalls and street vendors, assisting smuggling, acquiring land, and having ties to the parking mafia.
