According to military media on Wednesday, 13 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists, also known as Khawarij, were slain by security forces during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Dera Ismail Khan district’s Daraban area.
The operation was started based on verified information about the existence of TTP terrorists in the area, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Thirteen terrorists were killed as a result of the army’ successful engagement of the terrorists’ stronghold during the operation.
Ammunition and weapons confiscated
The discovery yielded a sizable cache of guns and ammo. The terrorists were allegedly actively involved in several attacks throughout the district, including a suicide bombing in Daraban in December 2023, according to officials.
