On September 30, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, knighted Sir Gary Oldman at Windsor Castle.
The Oscar-winning actor disclosed a lighthearted remark made by the future King on the actor and director’s current television role after the ceremony.
William acknowledged he was a fan of Slow Horses, a spy thriller currently in its fifth season on Apple TV+, where Gary plays the disheveled and irascible Jackson Lamb.
Gary disclosed that the prince said that all he wants is “to give you a good wash,” as Metro reported, whenever he sees him on screen.
Gary responded to the joke by joking, “Well, I think I’ve scrubbed up okay today.”
