Cooper has reportedly been traded to the Buffalo Bills by the Cleveland Browns, who are having a terrible season.
The Browns’ losing run now stands at four games after they lost Sunday for the fifth time in their first six games of the season.
Additionally, they appear to be in a difficult situation as long as Deshaun Watson suffers with his guaranteed contract of $240 million.
Regarding the Bills, Josh Allen needs it as a weapon. Despite his serviceability, Keon Coleman had big shoes to fill as a rookie after Buffalo traded Stefon Diggs.
Cooper has only had 24 catches for 250 yards so far this season.
Cooper is a five-time Pro Bowl receiver who has accumulated more than 1,100 yards in four of his previous five seasons, so it’s natural to think that his potential will be utilized now that Allen is in charge. However, it’s difficult to blame him given the quarterback play.
