KARACHI: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a 3.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Karachi’s Malir neighborhood on Wednesday.
According to the Met Office, the earthquake was reported at 9:34 a.m. and had an epicenter about seven kilometers northwest of Malir at a depth of ten kilometers.
Thus far, there have been no reports of fatalities or property damage.
A 5.5-magnitude earthquake that rocked Islamabad and several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last week preceded the current tremors.
The area has been rocked by earthquakes a lot lately, particularly in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Records reveal earthquake activity in nearby nations that are situated where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates converge.
