In the ongoing verbal battle with Sindh, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared that she is not only ridding Punjab of crime and filth but also “cleansing the minds of those who envy the province’s progress.”
“When I mention Punjab, some people become irritated, but tell me which province I’m the chief minister of. Who should speak for Punjab if not me? CM Maryam stated this during a Tuesday event.
The Punjab chief minister claimed that other parties exploited the province’s flood destruction for political gain, which heightened the verbal sparring between the PPP and PML-N, which had started over flood payments through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
