On Tuesday, recommendations to exclude Pakistan-India matches from International Cricket Council (ICC) events were rejected by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The ICC has been urged by former England captain Michael Atherton to discontinue scheduling India and Pakistan against each other in all major tournaments.
A BCCI official described it as “easy” to make proposals regarding the Pakistan-India matches, according to an Indian news website. However, the source contended that broadcasters would not accept a schedule that did not include the highly anticipated encounter between the bitter rivals.
