Lee Hsien Yang has long declared that he is oppressed at home by the Singaporean government, which was led by his brother, Lee Hsien Loong, for 20 years.
refuteThe government says he is free to go back and refutes these allegations.
The esteemed politician Lee Kuan Yew, who passed away in 2015, is the father of both men. Since then, the brothers have been embroiled in a bitter public family spat that has lasted for years and involved their father’s mansion.
Lee Hsien Yang presented the news with a number of documents, including a letter confirming the success of his asylum application.
Singapore,Furthermore, the letter acknowledged that he had a “well-founded fear of persecution and therefore cannot return to your country Singapore” and that the UK government had granted him “refugee status” for a period of five years.
London-based Mr. Lee reported that his wife had also received refuge.
“Longstanding government policy that we do not comment on individual cases” is what a Home Office spokesperson stated.
The news has independently confirmed that Mr. Lee is now an asylum man. His other arguments are consistent with the asylum policies of the Home Office.
According to Mr. Lee, all of the statements made by the Singaporean government are completely open to the public and must have been considered while granting refugee status.
