According to authorities, a baby born after their mother passed away in a fall from a Leeds tower block is “receiving critical care” in the hospital.
She was in her 30s when she fell “from height” on Tuesday at Shakespeare Towers in Shakespeare Approach, Burmantofts.
The woman, who passed away at the scene, was in the latter stages of her pregnancy, according to West Yorkshire Police.
According to a spokeswoman, the coroner’s office has been notified and there were no suspicious circumstances.
At 10:24 in the morning, the ambulance service dispatched officers to the location.
The woman, who was in her thirties, was in the last stages of her pregnancy, and her baby was born in the hospital, the force stated in a statement to News.
After the mother dies in a Leeds tower block collapse, the baby is born.
At the hospital, the baby was delivered.
