One well-known physician is harshly criticizing Kanye West’s new titanium dentures.
The 46-year-old rapper compared himself to James Bond villain Jaws and unveiled his new metallic teeth on Instagram last week.
He reportedly paid an astounding $850,000 for his implants, also referred to as “fixed prosthodontics,” according to a source who spoke with Page Six.
Dr. Sam Koh, an Australian dentist, recently asserted that Kanye might later come to regret his choice.
Based on his medical knowledge, Kanye is probably going to have trouble brushing his teeth, which will ultimately result in several infections.
“If the titanium is there for an extended period of time, there will be a lot of food, bacteria, and debris getting underneath it, which can then cause a lot of bad breath, sensitivity, tooth decay, and gum issues such as disease and infection,” Dr. Sam told Daily Mail.
Furthermore, he thinks the rapper would have had his teeth cut down rather than extracted permanently. “The glue holding the titanium in place will deteriorate over time as the remaining portion of the teeth moves.”
Dr. Sam continued: “This would then result in either the bridge coming loose over time, or much worse, dental decay, infection and disease with the bacteria able to then get inside the teeth.”
